Savage Feats, Part 3
Hello everyone and welcome back to Foursaken Feature, where we bring you new plot hooks and adventure ideas each and every week. This week marks part three of my feat tribute to the “savage races” found in the back of the Monster Manual. This time around I will be looking at some of the least savage of those races, including the doppelganger, the drow, the githyanki, and the shadar-kai. So without further ado, let’s dig in.
Heroic Tier Feats
Mental Offence [Doppelganger]
Prerequisites: Doppelganger
Effect: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack roles that target the Will defense.
Lolthblessed [Drow]
Prerequisites: Drow, Lolthtouched
Effect: Once per encounter, you can use both the cloud of darkness and darkfire racial powers.
Precognitive Defense [Githyanki]
Prerequisites: Githyanki
Effect: You may spend a move action to gain a +2 bonus to all defenses against attacks made by one target you can see.
Fearless Warrior [Shadar-Kai]
Prerequisites: Shadar-Kai
Effect: Because of your staunch belief in predestination, you are immune to fear effects.
Paragon Tier Feats
Improved Change Shape [Doppelganger]
Prerequisites: Doppelganger, change shape
Effect: When you use your change shapepower, you may choose to assume the form of a Small or Large humanoid (including the ability to mimic a specific individual), in addition to Medium humanoids.
Lingering Fire [Drow]
Prerequisites: Drow, Lolthtouched
Effect: When you use your darkfire racial power, the effects persist until the end of the encounter rather than the end of your next turn.
Precognitive Offence [Githyanki]
Prerequisites: Githyanki, Precognitive Defense
Effect: By spending a move action, you gain a +2 bonus on all attack rolls made against a single target until the start of your next turn.
Greater Shadow Jaunt [Shadar-Kai]
Prerequisites: Shadar-Kai, Shadow Jaunt
Effect: When you use your shadow jaunt power, you may teleport up to 5 squares.
Epic Tier Feats
Master Shapechanger [Doppelganger]
Prerequisites: Doppelganger, change shape, Improved Change Shape
Effect: You may expend one of your encounter powers to assume the form of any creature of Large, Medium, or Small size, including specific individuals.
Inner Darkness [Drow]
Prerequisites: Drow, Lolthtouched, Lolthblessed
Effect: As a standard action, you may expend one of your encounter powers to become invisible until the end of your next turn.
Combat Precognition [Githyanki]
Prerequisites: Githyanki, Precognitive Defense, Precognitive Offense
Effect: As a standard action, you may expend one of your encounter powers to gain a +2 bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls made against a single target until the end of your next turn. Additionally, you receive a +2 bonus on all defenses against attacks made by that target until the end of your next turn.
Master of Shadows [Shadar-Kai]
Prerequisites: Shadar-Kai, shadow jaunt, Greater Shadow Jaunt
Effect: You may expend one of your encounter powers to become insubstantial until the end of your next turn.
