Roarc the Black-Winged
Welcome again to Masters and Minions, where I strive to give you interesting NPCs and encounters that can be placed easily into your game. This week’s encounter is with a gargoyle revenant named Roarc the Black-Winged. Roarc was a powerful gargoyle in life and has become even stronger in death. He now flies from city to city preying upon anyone unlucky enough to encounter him. He usually leaves for a new city after his tenth feeding, so as to not attract too much attention. His favored hiding places are cemeteries near highly populated cities.
The PCs might get hired by the city guard to help investigate the source of the grisly murders, or they might just get attacked if they wander the city streets at night.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Freeze (Ex)
A gargoyle can hold itself so still it appears to be a statue. A gargoyle that uses freeze can take 20 on its Stealth check to hide in plain sight as a stone statue.
