Welcome again to Masters and Minions, where I strive to give you interesting NPCs and encounters that can be placed easily into your game. Even though Thanksgiving is tomorrow I thought I would start the feasting today. Now I can’t take all the credit for today’s meal I had a lot help from Samuel. Isn’t that right Samuel?
Samuel (S): It sure is! I even added my own little touches to the recipes.
Justin (J): Uh, what sort of changes did you make?
(S): Oh, nothing special, I just added a little magic to liven things up.
(J): I don’t like the sound of that at all. Folks I would be careful, who knows what’s going to happen.
(S): Now let the fun begin!
The turkey rises up picking up the carving knife and fork, just as the other dishes begin to stir.
This encounter is CR 2 and is probably best suited for level 1 – 2 PCs.
SPECIAL ABILITIES
Giblet Blast (Ex)
Once per day, a zombie turkey can fire a blast of piping hot giblets at an adjacent creature. The blast deals 1d4 fire damage; a DC 10 Reflex save halves this damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Death Throes (Su)
When reduced to 0 hit points, a zombie turkey explodes in a shower of bones and dark meat. All creatures within a 5-foot burst take 1d4 points of piercing damage and 1d4 points of fire damage; a DC 10 Reflex save halves the damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Gravy Blast (Su)
Once per day an animated gravy boat can fire a line of piping hot gravy at an adjacent creature. The line deals 1d4 fire damage; a DC 10 Reflex save halves the damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Delicious Distraction (Su)
Due to the flavorful aroma of these buttery rolls the DC of its distraction ability receives a +2 racial bonus.

Fling Potatoes (Ex)
Using a serving spoon and its handles, this animated bowl can launch a spoonful of mashed potatoes in the face of its opponents. As a ranged touch attack it can deal 1 fire damage and blind the target; a DC 10 Reflex save negates the blindness. Using this ability causes the animated bowl of mashed potatoes to take 1 point of damage.

Enough for Everyone (Ex)
The animated bowl of stuffing gets maximum hit points per hit dice.
Replenishing Seconds (Su)
As a standard action which provokes attacks of opportunity, the animated bowl of stuffing may sacrifice 1d6 of its hit points to restore an equal amount of hit points to any other adjacent member of the animated feast. This also allows the zombie turkey to regain the ability to use its giblet blast ability, if it has already used it.

Cranberry Blast (Su)
Every 1d4 rounds (max 3/day) an animated bowl of cranberry sauce can spray a blast of chilled cranberry sauce at an adjacent creature. The blast deals 1d3 cold damage and the ground in that creature’s square is covered with slippery cranberry sauce; a DC 10 Reflex save only halves the damage. A creature can walk within or through the affected area at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall); while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). The ground remains slippery for 1d4+1 rounds or until it is cleaned up as a full-round action which provokes attacks of opportunity. The save DC is Constitution-based.

A Slice of the Action (Su)
Once per day, as a full-round action, the animated pumpkin pie can fire off all of its slices, launching them off in all directions. All creatures within a 5-foot burst take 1d6+1 nonlethal bludgeoning damage; a DC 10 Reflex save halves the damage. The save DC is Constitution-based. Using this ability instantly destroys the animated pumpkin pie.
