Stagecoach Robbery
Welcome again to Masters and Minions, where I strive to give you interesting NPCs and encounters that can be placed easily into your game. For Frontier Week, I thought I would take a crack at making a good old-fashioned stagecoach robbery. So this week’s encounter works best if your PCs are traveling by stagecoach or any other horse-drawn vehicle.
The Dustygulch Gang has been preying upon rich looking travelers crossing the Firewind desert. They usually ride in on horseback, demand all the person’s valuables, and then leave. If they meet with resistance, they first make an example of one of the traveler’s horses. If that doesn’t scare the person into giving them their valuables, they kill the whole lot of them.
Mari Tannen is the leader of the Dustygulch Gang and the eldest Tannen sibling.
Rem Tannen is youngest of the Tannens and serves as the group’s safecracker.
Grim Tannen is just a couple years younger than Mari but is still older than Rem. He serves as the gang’s muscle.
